The Human Race Theatre Company in Dayton announced its 2026-27 season on May 1, built around the theme “Perception vs. Reality.” The five-production lineup includes a world premiere, two regional premieres, and a reimagined Shakespeare comedy.

The season opens with “Salem: Blood to Drink,” a world premiere by playwright Maggie Lou Rader running October 14 through 25. It is followed by “Reindeer Sessions” by Eric Ulloa (December 9-20), directed by Igor Goldin. In February, the company stages a beach-themed “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” directed by artistic director Emily N. Wells. The spring brings the regional premiere of “What Became of Us” by Shayan Lotfi (April 7-18), and the season closes with the regional premiere of “Job” by Max Wolf Friedlich (June 2-13).

“Bold. Electric. Unmistakably entertaining. Unmistakably us,” Wells said of the season. Subscription packages start at $150, with new Saturday matinee options available for the first time.
