The Dayton Art Institute announced on March 2 that it will offer free admission on three weekends in 2026 as part of a new accessibility initiative. The free weekends are March 7-8, August 29-30, and November 14-15. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
On the free weekends, visitors can access the permanent collection, all current special exhibitions, and family activities at no cost. A 15 percent membership discount is also available for new and renewing members during the events.
The program builds on the museum’s earlier “Art for All” free admission days. The DAI’s 2026 exhibition schedule includes the Tony Foster watercolor survey “Exploring Time,” “Fighters for Freedom: William H. Johnson Picturing Justice,” and the rotating “Exploring Feminism” series in the new Waddell Gallery for Feminist Art.
