ArtsWave and MeetNKY have opened applications for the 2026 Northern Kentucky Creative Placemaking Grant, providing up to $10,000 per project to nonprofit organizations proposing arts-driven initiatives across Northern Kentucky. Funded projects will take place between June 1, 2026, and May 31, 2027.

The competitive grant program supports arts and cultural heritage projects that activate public spaces, strengthen neighborhoods and contribute to the region’s cultural identity. Grants cover up to 50% of total project expenses. The program builds on a 2025 inaugural round that awarded $58,000 to nine projects.

“Creative placemaking uses the arts to strengthen communities in meaningful ways,” said Alecia Kintner, president and CEO of ArtsWave. The grants are part of ArtsWave’s strategic partnership with MeetNKY, Northern Kentucky’s convention and visitors bureau, to leverage the arts for economic development and community connection across the Cincinnati region.
