Cleveland Ballet closed its 2024-2025 season with Romeo and Juliet at Playhouse Square’s Mimi Ohio Theatre on May 16-17, 2025. The production featured choreography by Robert Weiss, founding Artistic Director of Carolina Ballet, whose work was previously staged by the company for its Dracula and The Masque of the Red Death double feature earlier in the season.

The production was set to Prokofiev’s score. The announcement, made February 24, marked the culmination of Artistic Director Timour Bourtasenkov’s first full season with the company.

Cleveland Ballet was founded by Michael Krasnyansky and Gladisa Guadalupe and performs at Playhouse Square.
