Dayton Contemporary Dance Company (DCDC) announced its 2025-26 season “Dancing in Our Light” on July 10, 2025. The company, which describes itself as ranked among the nation’s top 10 modern dance companies, will feature a collaboration with Dayton Ballet and world premieres focused on African American heritage.
The headline event is “Rhythm of the City” in April 2026, in which DCDC and Dayton Ballet perform together to Dayton’s funk sound. The season also includes “Reflections” in October 2025, a collaboration with the Paul Taylor Dance Company alongside “On The Wings of Angels” about the Tuskegee Airmen. The Littlest Angel returns at the University of Dayton Boll Theatre.
“DCDC must claim our platform and shine in our own light,” said Artistic Director Debbie Blunden-Diggs.
