Great Lakes Theater announced its 65th anniversary season for 2026-27 on February 2, 2026, featuring musical theater and classic comedy at Playhouse Square in Cleveland. The season includes Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Les Miserables, The Winter’s Tale, The Comedy of Errors, The Importance of Being Earnest, and the company’s annual A Christmas Carol.
The season includes major musical productions alongside Shakespeare and classic comedy. Performances take place at the Hanna Theatre and Mimi Ohio Theatre at Playhouse Square.
Great Lakes Theater was founded in 1962 and maintains a strategic alliance with Idaho Shakespeare Festival.
