Cuyahoga Arts and Culture (CAC) earned its 18th consecutive clean audit report from the Ohio Auditor of State, the agency announced November 13, 2025. CAC also received the Auditor of State Award for its fiscal year 2024 performance. The independent audit found no material findings, no deficiencies in internal control, and no instances of noncompliance.

“Cuyahoga Arts and Culture remains committed to transparency and trust in all of our work,” said Jill Paulsen, CAC Executive Director. “We take seriously our commitment to be a responsible and equitable steward of public funds to arts and culture nonprofits of all sizes.”

CAC is a political subdivision of the State of Ohio, created by Cuyahoga County voters in 2006 to support arts and culture organizations through cigarette tax revenue. The agency distributes millions annually to nonprofits across Cuyahoga County and is required to undergo an annual audit by the Ohio Auditor of State.
