The Black Swamp Arts Festival will celebrate its 30th anniversary September 11, 12, and 13, 2026, in downtown Bowling Green. The free three-day festival features juried art shows, original live music across three stages, youth arts programming, a chalk walk competition, and food from local vendors.
The 501(c)(3) nonprofit has grown over three decades into one of northwest Ohio’s largest cultural events, drawing visitors to the intersection of Wooster and Main streets in the heart of the Bowling Green State University community. The festival awards art prizes and scholarships supporting regional artists.
The 2025 festival recently concluded with its own slate of award recipients and poster reveal. For 2026, the festival continues its mission of bringing emergent national and international musical talent alongside hundreds of visual artists’ booths, all at no cost to the public.
