The Richard and Carole Cocks Art Museum at Miami University in Oxford reopened on August 26, 2025, with the Department of Art Faculty and Alumni Exhibition, a quadrennial showcase celebrating 39 faculty and alumni whose work represents the continuing legacy of Miami’s art department. The exhibition runs through December 13, 2025.

The show spans painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, collage, photography, animation, and time-based media, reflecting diverse perspectives on identity, lineage, memory, nature, and the human experience. Accompanying programs include an artist talk by Distinguished Professor Emerita Susan Ewing on scale and transformation, and a hands-on workshop by interdisciplinary artist Billy Simms and creative writing professor Margaret Luongo.

The museum’s 2026 exhibitions include “Culture Crops,” featuring Cincinnati-based photographer Tina Gutierrez’s portraits of Ohio’s Indigenous, immigrant, and family farming communities, alongside the 15th Art History Capstone exhibition developed by students in collaboration with Associate Professor Annie Dell’Aria.
