The Allen Memorial Art Museum at Oberlin College is presenting six exhibitions this summer. Current shows include “Fibers of Becoming: Contemporary Paper Works” by Sarah Brayer, Aimee Lee, and Lin Yan (through June 21); a pair of Japanese print exhibitions, “Shining Prints: The Tale of Genji Reimagined” and “From Page to Stage: Kabuki’s Heroic History Plays” (through July 12); and “Baroque Maximalism in Art and Music” (through August 19).
The museum also presents “Femme ‘n isms, Part III: Feminine Faces and Intimate Spaces” (through July 12) and “Video Space: Lucy Raven” (through August 21). The Allen has offered free admission since its founding in 1917 and holds a collection of more than 15,000 works.
