Heights Arts is launching its first exhibitions of 2026 with a dual presentation: “Consider Fires,” a group exhibition exploring the duality of fire as destruction and possibility, and “Spotlight: Josh Chefitz,” which delves into the artist’s layered works examining memory and healing.

Curated by Gina Washington, “Consider Fires” features Northeast Ohio-based artists such as McKinley Wiley, Jeanetta Ho, and Falon Walker, among others, using various mediums to interpret themes of resilience, transformation, and confronting what needs to burn away. The accompanying “Spotlight” exhibition showcases Josh Chefitz’s mixed media pieces that conceptualize memory as a dynamic narrative for personal growth and healing.

Both exhibitions will be on view at Heights Arts from January 6th to March 15th, 2026. An opening reception is scheduled for January 16th, and a special event featuring artist talks, poetry readings, and performances will take place on February 19th, further engaging the community with the exhibition’s themes.
