The Cincinnati Art Museum, Cincinnati Museum Center, and Taft Museum of Art each received approximately $6 million from the estates of Carol and William Eckerle, totaling $18 million. The bequest, announced October 5, 2023, is directed to the endowments of all three institutions.

The Eckerles were long-time supporters of Cincinnati’s cultural organizations. The gift is one of the largest combined bequests to the city’s arts institutions in recent memory.
