The Cleveland Orchestra will release a spatial audio recording titled “Allison Loggins-Hull: The Cleveland Residency” on April 17, the organization announced on March 4. The album features three works composed during Loggins-Hull’s three-year tenure as the Orchestra’s Daniel R. Lewis Composer Fellow from 2022 to 2025.
Conducted by Music Director Franz Welser-Möst and recorded live at Severance Music Center, the album includes “Legacy,” a piece for string sextet; “Can You See?,” an orchestral adaptation incorporating melodic material from “The Star-Spangled Banner”; and “Grit. Grace. Glory.,” a four-movement work that premiered in May 2025. Elaine Martone, who won her fourth Grammy Award for Classical Producer of the Year in February, produced the recording.
During her fellowship, Loggins-Hull collaborated with organizations across Cleveland, including Karamu House, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Cleveland History Center. The release is the 17th on the Cleveland Orchestra’s own label since it launched in 2020.
