FotoFocus, the Cincinnati-based nonprofit arts organization, announced on April 15, 2025, that the eighth edition of the FotoFocus Biennial will take place in October 2026 under the theme “The Long View.” The month-long series of photography and film exhibitions will be held across venues in Greater Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, and Northern Kentucky, with opening weekend events scheduled for October 1 through 3.

The theme explores aspects of time and perspective in photography and film. FotoFocus Artistic Director Kevin Moore said the title references both the literal functions of photography (long-distance vision, long-duration viewing) and a broader historical reflection timed to the U.S. semiquincentennial. The Biennial has drawn more than one million visitors since FotoFocus launched the event in 2012.

FotoFocus invited curators and artists to apply for the Biennial through a call for entry offering up to $10,000 per selected project. The 2026 edition will be the first to host events at the FotoFocus Center, the organization’s new space.
