Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) is set to unveil the highly anticipated ‘POMPEII: The Exhibition,’ offering visitors an immersive experience into the ancient Roman city preserved by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. The exhibition will feature over 150 authentic artifacts, many on loan from Italy, providing a rare glimpse into daily life before the catastrophic event.
The exhibition is scheduled to open on February 16, with presale ticket access available for those who sign up in advance. Elizabeth Pierce, president and CEO of CMC, described Pompeii as a ‘remarkable story that exists as both ancient legend and archaeological treasure,’ highlighting the exhibition’s significance in showcasing daily life in the Roman Empire.
