The Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) is distributing free eclipse glasses and offering special programming in anticipation of the upcoming solar eclipse. From March 22 to April 7, the first 100 attendees to view the OMNIMAX® film ‘Deep Sky’ each weekend will receive a complimentary pair of eclipse glasses. This initiative aims to provide safe viewing opportunities for the celestial event.
In addition to the glasses giveaway, CMC is hosting a series of family-friendly activities every Saturday and Sunday. These include stargazing story times, dance parties, and STEM-focused sessions. On the day of the eclipse, April 8, CMC will hold an outdoor solar viewing event from 2 to 4 p.m., with an additional 500 pairs of eclipse glasses available to the first attendees. To further promote the event, the museum has also released a music video titled “Space Exploration” by the Wildebeestie Boyz.
