The 2026 Accessible Expressions Ohio exhibition opened April 12 at the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown before beginning a statewide tour that runs through the end of the year. Art Possible Ohio, which produces the exhibition, selected work by 58 artists from across the state.
The show includes painting, drawing, mixed media, and fiber arts by artists working in youth, emerging, and professional categories. A panel of practicing artists, educators, and arts administrators reviewed submissions.
After its Youngstown run through June 7, the exhibition travels to five additional Ohio venues: Beck Center for the Arts in Cleveland (July 12 to September 13), Ohio Art League at Palmer Hall in Columbus (July 30 to September 4), Massillon Museum (September 26 to November 15), Wagnalls Memorial Library in Lithopolis (October 1 to November 20), and Artists’ Open Studio in Norwalk (November 23 to December 31). The tour is divided into two groups of works, with some venue dates overlapping.
Art Possible Ohio describes the program as a statewide adjudicated exhibition designed to raise awareness about disability through art. The organization’s stated mission is to make creativity accessible for all Ohioans.
