The Greater Columbus Arts Council awarded $349,999 to 16 organizations through its Capital Expense grant program, which funds construction and maintenance of physical assets at arts nonprofits. The program, first launched in 2023, drew 28 letters of intent before a panel of community leaders and GCAC board members selected the final recipients.

The largest awards went to Columbus Fashion Alliance and Center for Print and Collaborative Arts, each receiving $50,000. Columbus Jewish Community Center received $38,000, and both Harmony Project and Vaud-Villities received $37,500. Other recipients include 934 Gallery ($12,500), Cartoon Crossroads Columbus ($12,000), Columbus Pride Bands ($10,000), KBK Foundation ($25,000), OhioDance ($25,650), Thiossane Institute ($18,300), We Amplify Voices ($15,000), Art Possible Ohio ($5,066), Columbus Folk Music Society ($5,305), Converging Arts Columbus ($5,178), and Ohioana ($3,000).

Funded expenses include upgrades to lighting, sound, and projection systems; HVAC and electrical renovations; new flooring and exhibition walls; archive equipment; technology infrastructure; and musical instruments.
