Columbus College of Art and Design and the Columbus Fashion Alliance announced a partnership centered on CFA’s launch of The Loom, a 43,000-square-foot fashion innovation center in the former CCAD building adjacent to CCAD’s campus. The facility will serve as a hub for brand development, retail innovation, and community programming, providing access to industry equipment, networking events, and mentorship.

“By joining forces with CFA, we’re not only providing our students with greater access to mentorship, resources, and entrepreneurial opportunities, but also making Columbus an even more appealing destination for aspiring designers and young professionals who want to launch their careers,” said Dr. Melanie Corn, president of CCAD.

Yohannan “Yogi” Terrell, founder and director of CFA, said The Loom is designed to support emerging artists, entrepreneurs, and brands. The partnership also expands access to fashion education through CCAD’s Saturday Morning Art Classes and BFA in Fashion Design program alongside CFA’s community programming and lab space.
