The Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) is bringing back its popular adults-only event, “Layers of Innovation,” on November 8. This marks the fifth year for the “Layers” series, which offers attendees an evening of food, drinks, and exploration throughout the museum’s various attractions. The event promises a multi-sensory experience with custom cocktails, culinary creations, scientific demonstrations, and music from DJ JonJon.
“Layers of Innovation” aims to provide a unique way for adults to engage with the museum’s exhibits and collections. Elizabeth Pierce, president and CEO of CMC, stated that the event allows attendees to “rediscover a museum you thought you knew but turns out is even cooler than you remember.” Proceeds from the event will directly support the museum’s efforts to develop immersive exhibits and ensure its long-term sustainability. Last year’s “Layers of Discovery” event raised over $285,000.
The event will showcase both existing and new exhibits, including “The Cave,” “The Public Landing,” and the recently added “Ancient Worlds Hiding in Plain Sight” and “Advancing Health.” A variety of local food and beverage vendors, as well as entertainment providers, will be featured. Early bird tickets are available for $195 until October 18, with general admission priced at $250. Host and hostess packages are also offered, including VIP access.
