Neighborhood Connections approved $343,788 in grants to support 102 projects in Cleveland and East Cleveland. Cuyahoga Arts & Culture, the region’s largest public funder for arts and culture, will co-fund 30 of the resident-led arts and culture projects through a longstanding partnership with Neighborhood Connections. The McGregor Foundation will co-fund 27 senior-serving and intergenerational initiatives.
Funded projects include the Kentucky Garden Music Series in Ohio City, which received $3,900 for free public concerts at a community garden; Kings and Queens in Buckeye-Woodhill, awarded $4,475 for youth cultural education classes; and Deep Roots Experience in University Circle, which received $2,400 for a senior-centered exhibition at the Cleveland Botanical Garden.
Since 2013, the CAC partnership has co-funded more than 500 resident-led arts and culture projects in Cleveland and East Cleveland. CAC contributed $50,000 to Neighborhood Connections in 2026 for the effort. The McGregor Foundation provided $40,000 in 2025-26 for projects led by or serving senior citizens. The next round of Neighbor Up Action Grants has a deadline of August 10, 2026.
Neighborhood Connections, established in 2003, has invested more than $20 million in resident-led projects across the two cities.
