Toledo Opera has named five resident artists for its 2025-26 season: soprano Sarah Rachel Bacani, mezzo soprano Danielle Casós, tenor Brady DelVecchio, baritone Rick Hale, and pianist Yura Jang. The five were selected from more than 150 applicants nationwide, according to the company.

The resident artists will serve as touring performers in Opera on Wheels, an education program that brings live opera to schools across northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. The program reaches approximately 20,000 students annually, from Findlay to Ann Arbor and Sandusky to Archbold. This season’s touring production is “The Bear Who Couldn’t Fish,” an original children’s opera composed by Joshua Borths of James Madison University School of Music, with General Director James M. Norman directing.

The artists will also perform in Toledo Opera’s fall and spring “Opera ‘Round Town” pop-up concert series and take smaller roles in the company’s mainstage productions of Carmen and The Elixir of Love.
