The Dayton Performing Arts Alliance concluded its 2024-25 season at its annual board meeting on June 20, reporting revenue increases across fundraising and ticket sales. A 30th anniversary campaign honoring Music Director Neal Gittleman raised $255,000, and the organization said fundraising has increased 50% since fiscal year 2019.

Ticket sales for Dayton Ballet’s reimagined production of “The Nutcracker” set a record for the company, according to the alliance. Dayton Opera’s production of “Aida,” under the artistic vision of Kathleen Clawson, reached 91% capacity over two performances, continuing a 30% year-over-year increase in opera attendance. The Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra performed a Concert for Peace with the Sarajevo Philharmonic during the NATO summit and premiered two works: “London Landscape” by Malcolm Singer and “Nova Plexus” by Derrick Skye.

The alliance said its learning and community engagement programs reached more than 65,000 people during the season, including 232 in-school presentations. The board elected Joseph Zehenny as chair for the term beginning July 1, 2025.
