ProMusica Chamber Orchestra brought Grammy-nominated pianist Terrence Wilson to Columbus for a debut performance November 8 and 9 as part of its 2025-26 season concert “Saint-Saens & Schubert.” Music Director David Danzmayr led the program, which included Gabriela Lena Frank’s Elegia Andina, Saint-Saens’ Piano Concerto No. 2, and Schubert’s Symphony No. 4 “Tragic.”

Wilson, a graduate of The Juilliard School and recipient of an Avery Fisher Career Grant, was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2011 for Best Instrumental Soloist with an Orchestra for a world premiere recording with the Nashville Symphony of Michael Daugherty’s “Deus ex Machina.” He serves on the piano faculty at Bard College Conservatory. Janet Chen, ProMusica’s CEO, said Wilson is “well known in the field for his diverse artistry,” adding that “his ability to perform as a soloist, recitalist and chamber musician is elegant and effortless.” Tickets ranged from $25 to $70, with student tickets at $15.
