Jack Green, director and chief curator of the Richard and Carole Cocks Art Museum at Miami University in Oxford, announced he will step down at the end of 2025. Green joined Miami University in 2021 and led the museum through re-accreditation by the American Alliance of Museums, completion of a strategic plan, and what the university describes as the largest gift in the museum’s history.
Jason E. Shaiman, currently Curator of Exhibitions, began serving as interim director on January 1, 2026, while a national search is conducted for a permanent director. Shaiman joined the museum in 2010 after 12 years in curatorial positions at the University of South Carolina’s McKissick Museum and has curated more than 80 exhibitions at Miami University. College of Creative Arts Dean Ryan Fisher is overseeing the transition.
