Summit Artspace in Akron named Natalie Grieshammer Patrick as executive director on September 19, 2025. The appointment followed the departure of Heather Meeker, the former executive director, who left in June 2025 to lead Curated Storefront, another downtown Akron arts organization.

Grieshammer Patrick, an artist and curator from Akron, had served on the Summit Artspace board before joining the staff five years earlier. The appointment came as the organization approaches its 10th anniversary in 2026 and the 100th anniversary of its historic building, with a county-supported construction project also underway. Kristen Nervo Dowey, chair of the board, described Grieshammer Patrick as bringing “a rare perspective that keeps our work deeply rooted in creativity and care for artists.”
