Heights Arts has announced its 2024 music season, featuring a varied program across three distinct series: Close Encounters chamber music, Gallery Concerts, and ARTbar events. The season aims to showcase both internationally recognized talent and local Northeast Ohio musicians in intimate and unique settings.
The Close Encounters series, curated by Cleveland Orchestra cellist Dane Johansen, will present performances by members of the Cleveland Orchestra and other elite musicians in various locations, including private residences. New this year, Heights Arts is offering open rehearsals for select Close Encounters performances, providing a behind-the-scenes look at the preparation process for a nominal fee.
The Gallery Concerts series offers free, pay-what-you-can performances by local artists in a gallery setting, highlighting a diverse range of musical genres. The ARTbar series will continue to blend live music with art and poetry in a lounge-like atmosphere, featuring local favorites and acclaimed national performers. Heights Arts emphasizes its commitment to community engagement and artistic accessibility throughout its programming.
