The Cleveland Museum of Art and FRONT International opened a capstone exhibition for the FRONT 2022 Art Futures Fellows at Transformer Station on October 2, 2025, running through December 27, 2025. The show, titled “New Work: Amanda D. King, Charmaine Spencer, Erykah Townsend, Antwoine Washington,” presents the work of four Cleveland-based artists who received $25,000 stipends as part of the fellowship program.
The FRONT Art Futures Fellowship was established as part of the 2022 edition of FRONT International: Cleveland Triennial for Contemporary Art to support emerging and mid-career artists in Northeast Ohio. Although FRONT canceled its planned 2025 triennial, the board committed to completing the fellowship program, including this exhibition. Funding came from the George Gund Foundation and the Cleveland Foundation. Fred Bidwell, executive director of FRONT International, said the show “highlights the talent and dedication of our 2022 Art Futures Fellows.”
