Cleveland audiences are invited to celebrate life, loss, and laughter as “Flanagan’s Wake,” the city’s longest-running interactive show, makes its return to Kennedy’s Down Under at Playhouse Square. Performances are scheduled to run every Friday and Saturday night at 8:00 PM, from January 6th through April 29th.
This unique theatrical experience immerses patrons in the fictional Irish village of Grapplin, County Sligo, where attendees partake in a traditional wake for the recently departed Flanagan. Guests can share stories, enjoy traditional Irish music and tales, and interact with a cast of characters, including Flanagan’s mother and fiancée, as they mourn and celebrate his life. The show, originally created in Chicago, has been a staple in Cleveland since its premiere and was even recognized with a proclamation from the Mayor of Cleveland in 2003.
The cast features a roster of talented Cleveland improvisational actors, many of whom have performed in previous productions of “Flanagan’s Wake.” Tickets are priced at $29.00 and can be purchased online through the Playhouse Square website or by contacting the Ticket Office directly.
