The Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC) has announced the recipients of its first grant cycle for 2022, distributing a total of $587,512. The funds were allocated through two main programs: Support for Professional Artists (SPA) grants and Project Support grants.
A total of 246 SPA grants were awarded, amounting to $293,812. These grants are designed to help individual artists and artistic ensembles create new work, enhance their skills, and reach wider audiences. Additionally, 28 Project Support grants totaling $293,700 were distributed to various organizations and projects, funding a diverse range of arts and cultural initiatives within the community.
