The Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC) has announced the approval of $12,766,038 in grants for 2024, distributed through its Operating Support and General Support programs. These funds, derived from the city of Columbus and Franklin County, aim to bolster the region’s arts organizations. The grants are crucial for organizations navigating post-pandemic challenges and fostering greater community inclusivity in their programming.

Operating Support grants, totaling $12,100,454, were awarded to 22 established arts and cultural institutions with significant community impact and robust financial management. General Support grants, totaling $665,584, were distributed to 15 organizations with annual budgets under $500,000, providing them with unrestricted financial assistance and capacity-building resources to promote sustainability and growth.
