The Human Race Theatre Company in Dayton has announced its 2026-2027 season, titled “Perception vs. Reality,” featuring five productions that examine questions of truth and judgment. The season includes a world premiere and two regional premieres.

The lineup opens with “Salem: Blood to Drink” by Maggie Lou Rader (October 14-25, 2026), a world premiere, followed by “Reindeer Sessions” by Eric Ulloa, directed by Igor Goldin (December 9-20, 2026). The season continues with Artistic Director Emily N. Wells directing “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (February 3-14, 2027), which the company describes as a beachy reimagining of the Shakespeare comedy.

Two regional premieres close the season: “What Became of Us” by Shayan Lotfi (April 7-18, 2027) and “Job” by Max Wolf Friedlich, directed by Wells (June 2-13, 2027). Three-show subscriptions start at $150, with full season packages at $200 (Level B) or $250 to $275 (Level A).
