The Columbus Museum of Art will offer free daily admission to visitors 25 and under beginning July 1, 2026. An adult caregiver accompanying children 16 and under will also be admitted free. The policy applies to the museum’s East Broad Street campus.
The change is part of Access 150, a five-year initiative supported by a $4 million lead gift from the Walter Foundation, which the museum described as the largest investment in access and education in its history. In addition to free youth admission, the initiative will fund expanded youth and teen programming, partnerships with schools and community organizations, and new staffing.
Executive Director and CEO Brooke A. Minto said the program builds on the museum’s Free Sundays initiative, which increased attendance among families, first-time visitors and more diverse audiences. The museum cited research showing that eliminating admission fees can increase overall attendance by 30 to 150 percent.
