The Dayton Performing Arts Alliance announced on January 31 that it will retire its SuperPops and Rockin’ Orchestra Series for the 2026-2027 season. The Masterworks Series will shift to single Saturday evening performances, with select programs also offered as Sunday matinees. The organization said it is working to provide affected subscribers with transition options.
President and CEO Patrick J. Nugent said the alliance is “approaching both season planning and collective bargaining with care, respect and professionalism.” The organization has begun negotiations with musicians represented by the American Federation of Musicians. Nugent added that “DPAA’s Philharmonic, Opera and Ballet remain at the heart of everything we do.”
Full season details are expected in March at daytonperformingarts.org.
