Cleveland Ballet closes its 2024-2025 season with Romeo and Juliet on May 16 and 17, 2025 at Playhouse Square’s Mimi Ohio Theatre. The production is set to Prokofiev’s score and features choreography by Carolina Ballet founding artistic director Robert Weiss.

Carolina Ballet’s ballet master, Dameon Nagel, will set the ballet on Cleveland Ballet’s dancers. Jeff A.R. Jones, a certified teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors, will work with the company on fencing, swordplay, and fight choreography. Jones also designed the set.

Artistic director Timour Bourtasenkov will host free artistic discussions for ticket holders at both performances. The Friday evening show at 7:00 p.m. will include a post-performance Encore Talk with Bourtasenkov and cast members. The Saturday evening show will feature a Before the Curtain pre-performance discussion.

The three performances are dedicated to Dick Pogue and his late wife, Patricia, long-standing patrons of Cleveland Ballet. Tickets start at $30 and are available at cleveballet.org/romeojuliet or by calling Playhouse Square at 216.241.6000.
