ArtsWave is accepting applications for its 2026 Inspire Artist Grants through October 27, 2025. Now in its sixth year, the program funds projects across artistic genres that reflect the lived Black and Brown experience. Any artist who can authentically create such work is encouraged to apply, regardless of personal background.
Emerging artists may apply for up to $5,000 per project, while practicing artists may apply for up to $10,000. Selected artists must present their work at a Showcase in July 2026 at the Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center and participate in cohort activities throughout project development.
The program is supported by a partnership between ArtsWave, the City of Cincinnati, Duke Energy, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and the Greater Cincinnati Foundation. Last year, the program awarded funding to 26 local artists, with results presented in a visual art exhibition, film festival, and live performances at the Contemporary Arts Center.
Application instructions and eligibility guidelines are available at artswave.org/apply. A grant overview Zoom session will take place on Thursday, October 2 at 12:00 p.m.
